Transport ........  if you should be travelling to Pembrokeshire by rail you will find regular train services to the nearest station which is Haverfordwest.  From there you can take a taxi or local bus to St Davids - a journey of about 15 miles.  Once here, many of the beaches and other places of interest are accessible using the coastal bus service

The centrepiece of the city of St Davids is the Cathedral which, in addition to being a place of worship dating from the 6th century, also hosts a prestigious annual music festival.   Additional information on St Davids and the surrounding area is available by clicking here

You will be spoilt for choice when it comes to eating and drinking in St Davids.  The closest pub to Ty Sara is the Farmers Arms in Goat Street and there are others a short walk away.  Also within walking distance you will find high quality restaurants such as Cwtch, Morgan's Brasserie and The Bench, and for a new eating experience you could try the Refectory in the Cathedral cloisters. For a change of fare visit the Indian restaurant at the Ship Inn in Solva (01437 721247) - they will supply a takeaway to Ty Sara  if you prefer to eat in.  Or for night out, drive to Porthgain and try the Sloop Inn for a bar meal or The Shed across the village green for something special.

Just off St Davids Head lies Ramsey Island, an important bird sanctuary owned and managed by the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds.  Visits to the island can be arranged through Thousand Islands Expeditions  , who together with Voyages of Discovery and Venture Jet also operate wild life boat cruises around the island - all highly recommended.

Leisure activities .......  You can play a round of golf overlooking Whitesands Bay, or for a more adventurous day out try coasteering with TYF.  The public swimming pool is located next to the secondary school - just call in to pick up a copy of their timetable for the season.   If none of these appeal to you, walk a section of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path - there are 186 miles to choose from!

St Davids peninsula is home to many art galleries and craft outlets.  Visit Solva Woollen Mill, a working mill producing rugs, carpets and other items in 100% wool
